Harvey County Farmer's Market Opening Soon!

I want to thank all of you for your patience. With this COVID-19 pandemic, it has been a difficult time for everyone. After much discusion and thinking on safety for both the vendors and patrons we have decided that May 23 will be our opening day for the Farmer's Market.

Just a remnder that we moved last year to 320 North Main Street.in the parking lot next to the Skating rink and the old Dillons store. We will be open from 8am-12pm.

There will be a list of rules that you will have to follow. These are just temporary for the moment.

Vendors, if you are wanting to utilize the Farmer's Market and sell your produce, baked goods, or other hand crafted goods, come on down and we will give you a packet with an applicaton to fill out and sign. You will need to turn the application in before you can sell with your $20 annual fee.

Those of you who have SNAP, we still have double up bucks available for those who come down to purchase produce and other goods. There is a limit of $20 with double up bucks, but no limit to how much SNAP you use.

To be able to use SNAP you will have to purchase tokens. The tokens are valued at 1 dollar and cannot be used to make change. If you don't use the entire value of the token, you will not get change back

Those who do not have cash but have other ways of paying we we have tokens that you can purchase that will be same as cash. If you don't use the whole value of the token, you will get change back.

We will do our best to keep the Farmer's Market as safe as possible. With the cooperation of both vendors and you, we can do that.

Thank you and we look forward to seeing you there. Be safe and have a blessed day.

A TRADITION IN HARVEY COUNTY SINCE 1983!

COVID-19 RULES & REQUIREMENTS

As we move closer to opening the farmer’s market on May 23, and with the COVID-19 Crisis going on, the Harvey County Farmer’s Market has come up with a temporary list of rules and requirements for all vendors and consumers.

VENDORS

1. All vendors shall be required to wear PPE. I.E. masks, gloves and, if possible, their own sanitizing station for their own use.

2. All vendors shall follow the 6-foot social distancing rule. All booths will be 10 feet apart from each other.

3. If you do not have the appropriate PPE you will not be able to sell at the market.

4. Consumers will not be allowed to touch the merchandise. Only the vendors can touch the merchandise.

5. You must keep your work area wiped down frequently.

For the consumers, there is one entry and one exit. It will be located on the east side of the market square, by the skating rink. The square will be blocked off with a fence. At the entry way there will be a hand washing station

CONSUMERS

1. All consumers will be required to utilize the hand washing station or use the hand sanitizer before entering the market.

2. All consumers will be required to follow the 6-foot social distancing rule

3. There will be no more than 30 consumers in the market at any one time.

4. Browse with your eyes, not your hands. In order to reduce the risk of COVID-19 contamination.

5. One at a Time. We encourage one member of your household come to the market. If your are able to, keep pets and children at home. This is to reduce the Risk of spreading COVID-19 but not required

6. If possible, go cashless. It is not required but encouraged.

7. PPE will not be provided for you. If you want to wear PPE you will have to bring it yourself

8. If you want to socialize, please do so outside the Harvey County Farmer’s Market square.

These rules and requirements are temporary and hopefully short term. Please be considerate and patient while we are all experiencing these trying times. We are doing the best we can to keep everyone safe.

Those who cannot or are unable follow these rules will be asked to leave for that day.
